Heyyyo,
Is this a good crt? I'm thinking of buying one similar to this from the same brand.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/135534480366?_skw=kd … ABk9SR-DT9Mm4ZQ

I would use it for DOS and windows 98 and games from the 90s and early 2000s. I might use it for 90s consoles like n64, snes and ps1. Any information or advice would be epic.
Thanks

I think it's fine, but the price is ridiculous. You might want to ask your relatives if they have an old monitor.

MSI MS-5169 | K6-2/350 | TNT2 M64 | 384MiB | 120G HDD | DR-/MS-DOS/NT/2k/XP/OBSD

Ordering a CRT online is always going to be more expensive than local, but you have to be lucky to find one local. He has the "offer" feature turned on, so he might take less if it's been unsold for a long time.
I checked his feedback and filtered on "CRT" (which is now only possible in the "Classic View", apparently..)
There were 4 feedback he's received from CRT sales, and 3 of them praised how well he packed. The 4th didn't say much at all. So that's a good sign that it might arrive in one piece. CRTs are prone to shipping damage so this is always something to look into with whatever seller you might buy from.
Looking deeper into his feedback for some drama implies that he would give a refund if it does show up damaged. He also likes to get in the mud and argue when he doesn't like somebody though.

Thanks to yall for the quick and informative answers. I'm actually thinking of one from Facebook marketplace but I found a similar one on ebay to link to in my post. Safety precautions lmao
Good points from everyone and local is absolutely awesome for finding old tech.
And I'll definitely keep my family in mind, I'll ask at the next holiday

that sounds awesome.
Stuff like this makes me almost think about "reviving" my Facebook account and submitting to their proof of identity BS, as much as I loathe it. I wish Craigslist was still the thing for local deals.

Thats true Craigslist used to be great. But I will say that on Facebook marketplace sellers take way too long to respond sometimes

I used to sell these. It's a perfectly fine monitor. KDS was a cheaper brand that was decent but not total crap, I sold a lot to budget conscious customers that understandably didn't want to shell out top dollar for a Sony or overpriced HP screen and didn't need the color accuracy of a Viewsonic. They were much better than the cheap generic monitors we sold with Emachines. The KDS's in general had an acceptable level of sharpness and okay but not super saturated colors.

I can't comment on the price, I haven't bought a CRT in ages. The last one I paid for was $4.
