This is an odd one that isn’t specific to just old games but on this Newer Dell precision when running multiple monitors I get a very strange mouse issue that requires a reboot as it won’t go away, see attached. Mouse turns into that on the main screen dissappearing on secondary screens.

Bleh, I think it’s this useless WD15 dock, pc can easily support 4x monitors but because I’m using 2x vga screens one of which is only 1440x900 the dock itself is unstable. I honestly can’t understand why dell can’t build a docking station that isn’t total garbage when the cheap generic, tiny, usb c knockoffs all seem to run any combination of screens fine.

I now switched to an hdmi to vga + a minidisplay to vga and it seems to be stable.. (From what I’ve read the dock barely handles analog signals but the hdmi to vga should offload this to the dongle as it’s not a simple pass through )

What sucks is when this dock flakes out even rebooting won’t help.

Ah well see if this lasts the day or if I’m disconnecting, resetting and replacing everything again.
