Was hoping that you could maybe include a compatibility and configuration database in DOSBox. This way people in the future would know how to boot and run some games. Claonto had the RP9 Format.

Maybe have manual scans on an internet archive or a museum.
monitor manual scans
you could put in the compatibility game table already on the DOSBOX website.

What about having a single DAT file like MAME or ini file like project64? The DOSBox website has settings for some games. Defend is a game launcher used for DOSBOX... With programs like Dosbox_staging games can now be configured with Tandy for audio and video....

An example that would be nice is releasing manuals, command reference books for the now more opensource MSDOS 4.01. Don't know where the documentation is where IBM released architecture source standards based on the 5140 so companies could make compatable hardware?

Here is RP9 (RetroPlatform 9) database info so you can edit titles: https://www.retroplatform.com/kb/19-114 the file format is not a proprietary license.
