Refreshing the thread with a few soundcards I got today.

- Audigy 2 ZS Retail (thanks to a few posts made by @Joseph_Joestar, I managed to figure it really is retail - SN is 0350 which means retail card)
- Ensoniq PCI Audio 5200 (with a Creative IC 🤣)
- CT4750 (SB 128PCI)
- SB AWE64 CT4370
- CMI8330A soundcard (which got recapped as soon as I got it, with polymers)
- an interesting MSI ball point pen
- 2x ARGB LED strips

As well as another board added to the list by my contact, an Gigabyte GA-60XT-A.

I know it's not in the best shape but it's far better than some of the stuff I've been presented from him, there were a few boards that were pretty much goners. It's in need of a recap anyways so I could pretty much care less about the caps' state.

hah, years ago when I was selling computers in my shop Coolermaster Canada sent me a bunch of pens. When they arrived the ink was already dried out in them, so I called to start an RMA on the pens, needless to say the RMA department was very confused.

Compaq Presario 7462 in a quasi stock condition (K6/2 500, Mitac Camaro Via MVP4 mainboard, Seagate 8,4 GB disk). The system only ever received an update in the form of a black DVD-writer.

It might be one of those machines that sold in droves but are mostly forgotten nowadays. It's a good sturdy case, so I might use it to house a different MATX board (MS-6168?) or go with it as it is for DOS/early W98 games. I might pop in a K6 III and/or add a PCI Geforce MX card. Still unsure.

Can you guys help identify this mysterious ISA card ?

It has a connect that looks like a printer port but this massive amount of chips, including an AMD 80186 ???? is a bit overkill for just a printer port no ?

I got is on a box of random hardware I bought at a local marketplace

Seems like I'm kinda on a losing streak lately. Bought a laser upgrade for my AMIGA 'tank' mouse to use in my A1000++ project only to realize that that upgrade does not fit into my original Hong Kong "BREMEN" AMIGA 'tank' mouse. Had to buy a different AMIGA 'tank' mouse from the bay. I have to do better ... next time.

Currently no scores today due to awful weather, but looking forward the boards from the contact I have around next week.

Nice! The ones with built in wavetable are quite rare. I have only seen a couple in my life, and I bought one of them from a seller in Singapore several years ago.

So that's what was missing on my YMF719E-S card. Interesting 😀
(it's exactly the same card (same FCC ID even) bar the built-in wavetable and IDE interface, and instead has a header for external wavetable.)

I remember when they were all the rage 10 years ago. I got one, but it's the model without built-in wavetable. What is this noise filter mod you mention? Can't find that particular mod. Just adding the IDE port and fixing the reversed stereo for the waveblaster port.

My guess is a SCSI controller card, but I've only seen Macintosh computers with that 25 pin connector. IBM compatibles usually use the full 50 pin Centronics connector instead.

It's been a long while that I bought anything other than notebook expansion cards and small quality of life stuff.
Today I found this and thought it's cheap enough that even if the board itself is dead and beyond saving, the CPU and the RAM still mostly compensates.

Naturally the seller claimed it was tested and working. I won't likely to have time to find out until next weekend.
