30. Tom2D is the only GUI test in the entire suite and again the Sempron with a 333 Mhz FSB scores a clear victory over its little brother with the same clock speed but with 266 MHz FSB:
XP 2000 first
Sempron 2400 second

31&32&33 We switch completely the registry with PCmark 2002, the oldest version of PC mark, and the first benchmark to test general system performance:
XP 2000 first
Sempron 2400 second

The individual results show that the CPU scores for both processors are really close; so is the HDD score of course - same raptor !
Only the memory score is definitely better on the CPU with the faster bus: 12% better on the Sempron who adds one more victory to its tally!

34 & 35 & 36 & 37. The next version of Pcmark - 2004 - adds a graphics score to the results:
XP 2000 first
Sempron 2400 second

Again the CPU and HDD scores are nearly identical; the graphics score improves a little bit on the 333 MHz FSB system - not much, only 3.5%; only the memory score shows a big jump - 9% improvement by going with the CPU with the faster bus.

38 & 39 & 40 & 41 The final Pcmark is the 2005 version:
Again XP 2000 first; Sempron 2400 second

Again the CPU scores are extremely close and reflect the fact that clock speed is the only thing that matters in this test; HDD score are practically identical!
Memory score shows again that the faster bus of the Sempron has a serious impact; what really jumps is the graphics score: 20% better with the Sempron. I repeated the test on the secondary system used to check the results and the huge advantage remains - a processor with a faster bus has a great impact on graphics performance!

42 & 43 & 44. Synthetic tests are finished! Time for real world games and the first is Farcry 1 that I recently finished on realistic difficulty! This is mostly a CPU bound game therefore this is a good test to see if either CPU is limiting the performance.
I used HardwareOC bench tool to provide accurate and repeatable testing conditions. Because the results are in HTML format I do not have screen shots saved but I will put all of them in one archive for anyone interested.
Athlon XP 2000 is first:

First game and the first victory for the CPU with the faster bus: 7% advantage across the resolutions shows that FSB 333 matters quite a lot!

45 & 46 & 47. The second game is the masterpiece Half life 2. This is the 2004 version and not the updated Steam version.
I used Fraps 3.4.7 because HardwareOC bench tool refused to work. I am sorry for the lack of screenshots - Fraps outputs the results in Excel.
First is the XP 2000:

1024*768:
Min: 32
Max: 50
Avg: 41.083

1280*1024
Min: 27
Max: 49
Avg: 55.733

1600*1200
Min: 42
Max: 74
Avg: 54.617

45 & 46 & 47. Second is the Sempron 2400:

1024*768:
Min: 38
Max: 63
Avg: 48.083

1280*1024
Min: 35

For the second time FSB 333 demonstates its superiority by crushing the FSB 266 processor with a minimum 17% lead! And 17% is at 1024*768; as the resolution increases the lead he Sempron has over the Athlon XP also increases: at 1280*1024 is 24% better! So the processor with a faster bus copes better with the ever increasing workload!

48 & 49 & 50. The final game in the suite is Do0m 3. Extremely demanding on the video card I disabled AA in order to give the geforce 7800gs some breathing room.
XP 2000 is first at the standard resolutions: 1024*768, 1280*1024, 1600*1200

All average frame rates are within 5% across all resolutions! There is no clear winner in Doom 3 - a testament to the exceptionally graphics demands of this game.
As a side note i started playing again the game with an X-fi card this time and a 5.1 audio setup; at night it feels really creepy!

51. The second to last test is Super PI where the shorter the time to calculate 1 million decimals constitutes a better result!
Sempron 2400 first
Athlon XP 2000 second

Again the faster bus enables the Sempron to score another victory with a 27% better result! So in this test clock speed is not the only thing that matters; FSB and DRAM speed also matters!

No winner here because in this particular test the clock speed is all that matters!
