CPU arrived, very happy with the results;

This is before the TAG and DB Cache chips arrived to get the L2 cache working, and the Bios update (working on that one).

Nice. I installed the cache chip set I had. Now running 128k l2 cache. Haven't pulled it apart to do the voltage regulator yet.

Cache chips arrived, here are the results;

I have not updated the bios yet. It all just works?

I don't know how to check if it's working in write back mode though. L1 Cache is though?

I have noticed a huge improvement in performance playing Duke3D.

Hey All!

It's been several years since I posted about this computer of mine and well, it's been doing great.

Installed a Gotek floppy emulator in it, a CD ROM and oddly enough, the original hard drive is cranking away. I couldn't get the CF to IDE cards to work.

Just wanted to say hey and show you where it got to. I won't lie, this is probably my favorite of my collection.

Has anyone tried high-density SIMMs in this MB? I vaguely remember that 486 boards usually only worked with multi-chip FPM modules.
