I used to edit typos in my early days, then some time passed and saw people not make fun of typos anymore, and then didn't bother to edit to fix them

Usually I only use the edit button to attach an attachment or for some large thread

Most Vogons users are Tech people who fully understand the need to write out responses fast, spelling takes a back seat so long as what you wrote makes sense.

And the result after removal of broken BIOS attachment from my previous post: Re: DIY Bios Modding guide Jan Steunebrink k6-2+/3+ 128gb

Thank you, forum's "ai" for your auto-moderation! A BIG THANK YOU! 🤣🤣

Ok, I think now I have a great opportunity to successfully vandalize my previous posts thanks to all the automatic "post anti-vandalizing measures" implemented in the forum's code. So I'm out 'till a real human forum's administration takes decision if my account really deserves to be in this ridiculous restrictive "Edin vandalism users" group with no option for proper post editing.

I edit tons of posts because I perpetually make typos and like to add separate quotes, new images and links after sending the first draft.

Thankfully I never have gotten restricted (that I know of) 🤣 but I do get this message all the time when doing basic things like logging in, no idea what it means or why it occurs

The attachment IMG_6252.jpeg is no longer available

Silently my account is now removed from this restrictive "Edit vandalism users" group, but this changes nothing. I have no "Ediit" button as an option anymore. So if I continue to publish posts, I'll generate a ton of redundant comments about what mistake I made in a previous post this way creating much more mess, than if I delete a couple of meaningless post in the very end of some old threads.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but how can you see what groups you're in? I couldn't find anything in my profile setup.

Also, you're lucky you're only missing a button. One day I was banned by the software for no reason that I could see, no notification, and no admins would talk to me. So I just gave up with this place. 5 months later I decided to try again, and found that I was miraculously back to normal. Even now I have no idea what I did wrong, if anything.

By clicking on your account/nickname. Under "About" there is a list "Groups". For regular user there must be only "Registered users".

Same story here, except for the ban. But as I decided to not make more posts in the forum's technical categories ('til edit option will be restored... if it will be restored ever), 'cause I often make mistakes and now I can't correct them, it's almost the same as to banned. Everyone outside of this forum can read it, so there's no reason to be a forum member if you will only read.

Maybe I've to wait 5 months or 5 years or 5 centuries 😁 Who knows?

Thanks, that works. And you can click on a group and see who else is in it.
