I recently got back to playing Counter Strike, not the Steam build but a pirated build that I had for ages. The build is from 2005 so there could be problems. I currently have the computer Steam or any game launcher free.

I recently came across this new map de_dust2_2020 that seems pretty resource intensive. The map loads fine, but adding bots just crashes the game after a while.

Does the latest CS engines allow such higher resolution maps to run correctly? I assume so, but in case not, what should I do to make it run correctly? I am interested to install Steam if these enhanced maps can work fine on the newer CS.
