Hi, for now I'm calling it Frontngx, it's a frontend for a customized version of MAME only for Neo Geo games — Neomame, for friends — for DOS, optimized for Pentium 2.

The frontend is programmed in Turbo Pascal and Assembly, and it runs in 80x25 text mode. There's no graphical mode at all, so it works on any video card that can display vga text

I’m including a custom version of MAME 0.37 that integrates with the frontend. Also, I’ve added more games not supported in this old version — like Samurai Shodown 5, SNK vs Capcom, Metal Slug 5, Pochi and Nyaa, some homebrew like Gladmort, unreleased games like Ironclad, etc. I also fixed some non-working games like Overtop.

I added useful options like disabling raster effects or selecting the region.

I went with MAME 0.37 because it was the last version with support for 8-bit video cards, for example, and the one with the best performance on my Pentium 2 333MHz — which is the computer where I coded and tested everything.

I chose text mode because I had been programming graphical or GUI stuff for Windows for a while, but I hadn't done anything for console in years (just some scripts), and I wanted to get back into the practice.

Inside the zip I left a TXT file with a list of the ROMs, so you can see what each ZIP contains and it’s easier if you want to complete the collection. In general, all of them are from MAME 0.37, which you can find pretty much anywhere on the internet

For now is a testing beta, as soon i can have a more final version, i will add the mame source code, is a mess now, i want to do some clean before upload

One game is not working right now, bang 2 busters, and KOF2000 have glitches, any ideas are welcome
