Just picked these up and am going to add them to the 133 mhz fsb socket 7 build-a-thon

Any comments, questions, or info is welcome. I wonder if these will be faster than Sis540?

Now I just need to find an Ali aladdin 7.. 🤔

Okay, both motherboards have arrived.

Time to play with them is short. I hooked this one up because the seller didn’t pack it well. The board got banged around and the heatsink was ripped off. It pulled a leg slightly out of one capacitor, I pushed it back in, checked for short, found none, and fired it up, (it will get replaced soon) the fan connector was also bent over, I bent it back and pushed it back down.

Lower temp sensor was folded and twisted, straightened it back.

So far it seems to be working. I was able to boot to speedsys.

I was able to set cpu to 250mhz in preparation for 133mhz fsb tests.

I see settings for 50-100mhz
So if I’m going to go higher I have to map out the jumpers at the end of the top pci slot for hidden settings (fingers crossed)

Anyone have a clock gen datasheet?

Curious it has a k6-2 450 in it. Speedsys says 64k L1 but cache test seems to suggest 32kb? Thoughts?

Anyway, no time for a cpu-z or anything else right now. Gotta run. Will revisit.

Interesting bit about MVP4 - it shares the same GPU as KLE133 - Trident Blade3D. Not sure if PLE has it but I can confirm of KLE133 using the same iGP as MVP4.

Used to have the PAG-2130 somewhere around 2013-14 but my experiences with it weren't pretty good. Always used to lock up in a weird way in 98SE and had a weird POST routine despite using Award BIOS.

That IC Works W156H labeled clock gen is same as the Cypress W156H.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Darn, looks like 124 mhz max

Thoughts on a pin compatible replacement?

Looks like all the other 48 pin clock gens have slightly diff pinouts, designed for diff chipsets.

Played with the epox motherboard today. Installed a k6-3+ 570 (modded)

The original bios (uploaded) prevented this cpu from being stable above about 300 mhz, updated bios and the problem went away. (new bios uploaded also)

Well, well well…

I think I need an agp to pci adapter 🤣

124x 5.5 seems to be the sweet spot on the epox mvp4 I can try raising voltage… it’s set to 2.0v (reads 2.1v)

Another thing I can try is seeing if I can get a gf2 mx400 with 7.76? driver working this result almost beats my freeway mvp3 with radeon 9800 pro result.

For those wondering, both my mvp4 boards seem to be limited to 124mhz because of the clock gen.

I suspect that if a upgraded clock gen could be sourced that 133 mhz might be achievable

Thats cool! I am also playing with the idea of running 133MHz but I will use turbo PLL hopefully.
302mbs is good! I should test mine!
