The next step will be that you will have to enter your credit card number when you setup your micro$oft account so that you can be billed monthly for using your own computer. Think I am joking? Wait and see.

Serious question
I am already required to have a micro$oft account and work. I can log onto my computer with just a password, but the minute I want to use email of course it's the 2Fa
Here is the question. What happens if I get Windows 11 and have to create an account? Assuming I use my real name, will the computer simply "added" to the account? And would I have to mess around with 2Fa to be able to do it?
Maybe I am making a mountain out of a mole-hill, but I see a lot of ways for things to get mixed up..

Currently you don't have to use an online account with Windows 11. So no sense in whatifs until it happens. I don't see it ever happening, a company would have to be suicidal to not have an offline option. Now there are those who are too lazy to click the right button, pull a cable or type in a command but those people will always be out there.

Microsoft will never be able to completely remove 'offline account only' codepaths because that's a requirement for airgapped high security sites.

Whenever/if ever MS tries to claim its for codebase simplification, remind them of this fact, and demand they end ONLINE account setup.

Until then, just keep up on the voodoo ritual required to circumvent the 'user as product' vampires at microsoft accounting, to remain on an offline only deployment.
