I was experiencing issue with my BIOS settings reverting back to original settings after making changes and powering down. The battery was replaced three weeks ago, tested 3+v and within expiration date at time of installation.
So I decided to experiment and change the date. Returned the next day, sure enough, it required the BIOS settings to be re-entered again. I then checked battery voltage, 1.5v.
What would cause the voltage to drain so fast? This is a new system I've been fiddling around with for a few weeks now. As far as I can visually see, doesn't appear to be any shorts?
