Hello everyone, this is my first post. I have a project at home with over 200 old computers and I like to restore them.

I have been trying to restore this Schneier but without success. I repaired the power supply, which started working. I recapped the ISA board that has the processor... I replaced the memories... I replaced the BIOS battery, I checked the position of the jumpers and I can't post on this computer. On the diagnostic board I have errors 02, 01 or 05, 04 and it beeps quickly and several times. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Looks like there are other owners of that system on here, hopefully they join in. And it looks like it uses old-school Phoenix BIOS, perhaps you can start by trying to match up the codes here: https://archive.org/details/System_BIOS_for_I … ge/474/mode/1up

also: It's failing so early you might try without any RAM installed and see if you get a few codes further

Hi, I have a Schneider Tower AT (286).. Repaired it many years ago.
Question: Is the Dallas clock working? If it has no power (internal coin cell), the CMOS RAM is completely dead.
Maybe that's a reason, my memory is sketchy about it.
I repaired my Dallas clock, I remember.

Edit: Ah, your's has used an external battery for RTC..

Hello, it seems that the codes indicate this problem.
I've tried without memory, I've tried everything, the beeps are always the same.
I've also tried putting in a BIOS battery, and the same problem occurs. One thing I noticed is that sometimes it beeps and loops 02 01 and 05 04. This could be something electronic on the board.
The voltages are correct going into the board.

Hello, I also have a 286 with Dallas and I made the mod to put a battery and it is working at 100% but the 386 does not use Dallas , it has an external battery...but it does not work with anything 🙁
