hi, recently I installed a voodoo card in my old windows 98 computer but now I ran into the problem that my parallel zip drive isn't recognized correctly anymore.

Can this be a resource conflict which be able to be solved in the bios or am I thinking in the wrong direction?

Sounds like it may have stolen the IRQ, if this is a typical PCI/ISA system, then there are ways in BIOS to tweak the assignments, disabling serial ports if you don't use them can release additional IRQs for PCI, and possibly IRQ7 needs to be set to ISA reserved, as that is the absolute standard for ECP/EPP parallel port (you can get away with abusing that IRQ in the most basic LPT usage)

Sometimes you can also go into the BIOS under PNP/PCI Configuration and set "Reset Configuration Data" to enabled, then reboot. This should reconfigure things for you and may fix PnP issues. Keep in mind, the setting will normally revert to "disabled" after a reboot.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.
