Hello all,

I didn’t succeed in getting any burning software to work for me under windows 3.11 as it will always need an ASPI driver.

As I’m using a generic ATAPI burner are there any ASPI driver for win3.1 that can talk ATAPI?

Remark: for win95 no issue as these aspis are available.

Many thanks

The only 2 non-scsi Win3.1 (aka 16bit DOS) is ATASPI by Future Domain and ASPIATAP.SYS by IOMEGA (works for IDE zips but may not work for CDRW).

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

This would be a holy grail for older CD software to emulate SCSI/ASPI frontend with IDE/ATAPI interface. But never heard that something substancial exists.

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.
