Sorry, know this is an old topic but Viper Racing does still work perfectly on Win 11.
I've run it since Win 98 days on various operating systems and it's always worked with the appropriate upgrades like race.bin.
On Win 11 I'm also using dgvoodoo with AA and texture filtering, it looks and runs great!
Worth getting it up and running because it's still a load of fun in 2025.

Did you do anything specific setup-wise for these results? I've just tried DgVoodoo myself and the transparency issue still exists; I'm on win 10, using the modified race.bin for higher poly cars/tracks; I don't know if that's what you mean by "upgrades like race.bin".
Curious how I can get the same results, or if I'm gonna try the Ddraw.dll/hex fix.

Did you place dgVoodoo2 in the Data folder?

Yup, breading through the thread I gathered I should be working out of there.
I've solved dgvoodo not hooking, but I'm kinda up against a whole other issue it seems I'm missing something.
I can use the patched "viper racing.exe" and screen resolution changer to launch the game with good working sound, and all the transparency issues (no dgvoodo) or launch from "race.exe", it launches in debug mode, dgvoodo hooks fine, but the sound is unbearable..
