This 233MMX can play MPEG1 just fine, no wonder because of the rainbow-runner, but 233MMZ is too slow for amithlon.
The FSC-Scovery-212 with K6-2/350 and PCI mystique is much faster (CPU wise) so amithlon runs at (barely) accepatable speed.

I recently came across a siemens D1025 which had a rainbow runner card rattling in the case, and another PCI card nearby with a tuner and a 26 pin D-connector attached via an IDC connector. Luckily on top of this all was a 26 pin D-connector with a bunch of connectors and also a scart connector attached. I could measure this and post the pinout. I'm curious though if anyone else has a link to compare it to.

The d1025 mainboard is working, after adding the electrolytics back on since someone removed them which caused the board to boot and then crash.
I haven't tested the rainbow card nor the pci tuner card yet.
The thing that was missing from this all was the ISA/PCI riser that the mainboard uses. slightly frustrating.

yes, that seems to be the mainboard, riser, rainbow runner and a bunch of other cards in the photo you've shown.

All the electrolytics had been removed on the board I have. I only placed back 4 in total and the board is running, though I'll have to add a few more to be safe.
I'll add a photo of the pci card with cabling after I take a photo of them. Fairly certain it connects to the rainbow runner.

The connector next to the VGA DE-15 port depends on the model. On the Millenium, this is a DA-26 Media XL port, pinout documented on page 30 of the manual.
On the Millenium II and Mystique, this is a DA-15 Rainbow Runner Studio port, pinout documented on page 21 of the manual.

I assume you mean the Mystique as that's what I happen to have and it has a 2x8-pin J2 header just next to the DA-15 Rainbow Runner port. I don't know anything more than what's in the manual but given its location I assume it carries the same signals as the DA-15 connector, just use a multimeter to confirm. Half of the pins are ground so that's easy to check.

I measured the D26 connector/cable I have and it in no way matches the matrox one.
Dangit, if only the riser wasn't lost and the harddrive not damaged, but that's for another thread.

No idea, I'm afraid, I no longer have the Rainbow Runner Studio. It seems to have a same 2x8-pins so carrying the same signals would be a reasonable assumption but you'll have to do a continuity check to be sure.

Hmm... there aren't that many signals so it's either a Y and C S-video output, or a set of composite input and outputs. Try connecting it to a composite video input (while playing a video on the Rainbow Runner) and see if you get anything. (I'm not responsible if any equipment breaks 😀 )

At least four of them go to a smd transistor-a-like component, could be double diodes to clip the input signal, considering the designation.
The ground wiring on the tv tuner card ( s26361-1121-v1 gs01) lines up.

Hi guys, today I came across, what I think it is, rainbow runner studio vivo cable, 26 pin.

I do actually have Millenium card for it, but don't have any add-ons.

My question is, is it worth trying to find rainbow runner add-on? I am not necessarily into using it features (or not fully know what do I get), so is it better to try to find just a memory upgrade?

It is a bulky cable to say at least.
