Baron has a setup to select "SoundBlaster", but it doesn't work unless it's on 5.

Then put this into the compatibility database at dosbox.com, but not in a
thread about Arena please.

Many of these users don't have the knowledge we have though, and educating them is not a bad thing.

Uhm it's that if somebody searches the forums, finds this, and then configures
the games for irq5, without changing it in dosbox.conf, which you did not put
anywhere in your posting. So PLEASE don't do that unless you KNOW it's needed
for a specific game. And then post the complete information about how to change it.

Wow, thanks for all the helpfull replies.
I downloaded the 486 Launcher and the config files and installed them.
I put a copy of TES1 in the \468 Launcher\System\ folder.
When i run the game now however a dosBOX window pops up and closes immediatly and there is no text to read at all.

Am i doing something silly here?

Let's take this to PM to keep it off the forum since it is off-topic.

*UPDATE*

Just got a PM stating that he is now playing Arena via my front-end and it is working.

I was having this same problem with Arena....
Turns out I was running the executable A.exe instead of the batch file included (Arena.bat)
which holds all the sound config settings.. (slap on my forehead)..

Sometime we overlook the simplest causes.
