So, if you already have the correct capacitors, and don't consider more soldering to be too much work, then go for it - what's the point of having the capacitors if they are not going to be used. Otherwise consider the job done, you are not going to be using that floppy drive daily for years to come.
Ok, so I removed capacitors C3 and C9 and put them in my tester. Both had near enough correct values. C3 was almost exactly 33uf. C9 was slightly over the 0.47uf it should have been, but only slightly at 0.5uf.
In my kit I had a 0.47 capacitor, but bigger physically. The tester said it was 0.47uf, so I replaced the original.
My kit also had 33uf capacitors, but when I tested them they were all reading as 41uf. So, I put the original 33uf capacitor back.
Heres the board front and back after cap replacement:

These are closeups of my attempts at soldering:

Perhaps burned a little, but I dont know.
Anyway, I have put it all back together again, and it still works great! I am very happy!
Thanks again to everyone that helped me. Especially @Deunan for his excellent electronics knowledge and to @DaveDDS for writing IMD, and other helpful comments. This Vogons community rocks!
