I have basically zero knowledge and experience with this. I'm trying to set up a CD drive in 86box on 8088 but having trouble with the drivers. I tried the Rancho RT1000B but its driver asks for a 286 minimum and doesn't work. The other options are Corel LS2000, Longshine LCS-6821N, Trantor T128, and T130B.

Do any of these have 8088 drivers for CD access?

Hm. Does the emulator provide an Mitsumi LU005 by any chance?
That used to be a common single-speed CD-ROM drive that shipped with an 8-Bit controller card.
The card could do DMA, optionally. DMA and non-DMA drivers shipped with it.

Got a reply somewhere else that Trantor T128 works on 8088. This is the driver package: https://archive.org/details/scsiworks-trantor-ver-1-3

The drivers are MA120.SYS (ASPI manager) and TSLCDR.SYS (CD driver).

EDIT:

Trantor T130B also works. Its driver is MA13B.SYS.
