Call of Duty's battle against hackers continues, and Activision has announced some major updates to the game's Ricochet anti-cheat for Season 5 and beyond. The publisher also confirmed legal action taken against several cheat makers.
Season 5 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone arrives on August 7, and the update will include the rollout of two PC-based security features: TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) is a hardware-based security feature built onto CPUs or motherboards to verify that the PC's boot process has not been tampered with, while Secure Boot makes sure a PC can only load trusted software when Windows starts.
Need to make sure the game stores list these requirements so it's easy to know what games to avoid. Although in this case it's pretty easy because of the name of the game.
