So as I get those random memories of old games I used to play as a kid I usually pop them into chat gpt and such to get me the title. It’s at least pretty good for that.
But I haven’t been able to get this one: so there was this arcade racing game for the PC of hovercraft vehicles that were more akin to bikes rather than cars. They (and the world on each track) were very futuristic. They were essentially a laser-looking wireframe body of a craft. A bit like Tron but mostly see-through other than the wireframe. Also, the shapes were very different.
Now, that is a very general description BUT what was unique about this game was that there were a lot of ancient Inca themes in the track designs for some reason, while remaining VERY futuristic. Also, humour was a big part of the game. Almost every time the main character overtakes another rider, they make an audible funny remark like “cya later!”. Now, I’m not 100% sure about this but I think the vehicles could be upgraded and you could definitely switch to better vehicles as you progressed. I think you could change the colours of the wireframe laser bodies of the craft as well. I believe there was some kind of damage model too.
I definitely played this on my windows PC, no idea of the game was available for other platforms as well. It was most likely early 2000’s or late 90’s.
It’s not wipeout, space haste, Hover! or ballistics.
Thank you kindly to anyone who can identify this game.
