Bought this bundle cheap enough to be worth it. IC7 has a pin stuck in the socket, TUSL has broken tabs on Socket and few components knocked off, according to seller. Hope they're quick fixes 😁

Haven't seen them myself, arrived at a fellow collector in US.

So, shortly after, I got these home from the States. IC7 was a 10- minute fix - disassemble socket, remove broken pin, reassemble socket. Contact's spring looks fine - or else, that's another 10 minute fix 🤣
TUSL2-C I can't see any knocked off components - a lot are missing, but I think that's because of how many variants that board had. All solder pads looks mint and shiny - not like there has ever been anything on them. But that's gonna be another thread 😀

If it's dual it's kind of cool ... 😎

Had a black Dell UltraScan P991 delivere to me today! In excellent condition too. 😀

The attachment GytLEnRXEAAq28t.jpg is no longer available

Seller told me he's used it sparingly and bought it originally off a firm that had only been running it for less than year before they made the switch to LCD's.

Nice, the tube looks decently bright. I have the SGI version of this. Had to calibrate to an acceptable level using windas and x-rite i1 display pro. Currently under the desk as a spare.

Yes, it was at 30% brightness when I got it, though i nudged it up a little after taking the photo, as the blacks were a little too dark. 😀 My beige P991 also has good brightness on the tube, but the rest of the components really need a major overhaul.

I hear ya. I actually had to re-organize my room to have enough clearance for the back of the monitor. And I'd be lying if I said I was "completely" happy with the setup. The empty space behind void being the desk is giving me anxiety!😅

No, it was the irony in, that it took me some 3 years to get them home 🤣

AT PC with a Pentium, PCChips M507 with Coast module. Case looks new + Turbo display 😀
No fancy cards or specs.
Got it for free, 10€ shipped.

Edit: the AT case has side panels like an ATX case + 188 frequency display
This is my new case for my AT build. 😀 so easier to access

The motherboard is unimpressive and will use it as a donor for other projects.
Works fine but it's just a cheap PCChips.

HD is a Conner 1275mb, dead probably, won't boot here.
CT2950 + a Cirrus 5430 PCI.
Quad Creative cd-rom unit.

PC#1 Pentium 233 MMX - 98SE
PC#2 PIII-1Ghz - 98SE/W2K

Got these yesterday.

1.ProComp - G111, Voodoo2 12MB
The chip layout of the card is slightly different from the public version, and it seems that there are 6M, 8M, 12M variants from the memory chip layout on the back, and if there is a socket installed, you can upgrade the memory by yourself.

The attachment Voodoo2-1.jpg is no longer available
The attachment Voodoo2-2.jpg is no longer available

2. FOREX chipset 386 & 486 hybrid motherboard
It is a Global Computer Networks FOREX 386/486 with mediocre performance, no more performance tuning options in the BIOS, and a memory read and write speed of only 12MB/s. The battery had a slight leak, fortunately there was no damage to the wiring, everything was working normally, I cleaned up the leak and replaced it with a CR2032 battery.

The attachment FOREX.jpg is no longer available

Pentium MMX233, Zida TX98-3D, 64MB, Riva 128, Aztech Waverider Pro 32-3D, HardMPU-wt

K6-III+550, FIC VA-503+, 256MB, Voodoo3 2000, Creative AWE32, HardMPU-wt

Tualatin-1.4G, QDI A10BM, 512MB, G400, Voodoo2 SLI, Creative AWE64

Just got an MSI GTX 280 OC - a rare find, seeing as all GTX 280’s out there seem to be at stock clocks.

Interesting, how do you switch between the 486 and the 386? Do you have to enable one or the other in the BIOS?

/me love my P200MMX@225 Mhz + Voodoo Banshee + SB Live! + Sound Canvas SC-55ST = unlimited joy !

Most of those have jumpers to choose the cpu type

I built:
Convert old ASUS ASC boardviews to KICAD PCB!
Re: A comprehensive guide to install and play MechWarrior 2 on new versions on Windows.
Dos+Windows 3.11+tcp+vbe_svga auto-install iso template
Script to backup Win9x\ME drivers from a working install
Re: The thing no one asked for: KICAD 440bx reference schematic

Got a AT&T socket 3 Globalyst 530 motherboard with a 486DX2 at 66mhz and 16mb ram, that is supposed to be working ok.

20250821-152746.jpg

Unfortunately I noticed the 74F32 (logic gate?), a bit slanted and then I proceeded to force it into the original position. What am I looking at here?

There is also a small capacitor (?) missing next to it.

I'm exploring overpowered (Read: C2D) win98 systems these days. So I came across this contraption - 6600GT with Accelero S1 rev 2 passive heatsink.
Based on initial testing it cools down 6600GT just fine on my open bench. Some Capacitor modifications had to be done in order to fit heatsink but I'm fine with that.
Having running Win98 for years on P3 /GF4 platform - E7500 with 6600GT feels blazing fast and surprisingly stable.

One drawback - heat pipe is touching slightly empty PCI slot so I decided to add kapton tape on top of it for heat isolation. However Google AI is telling me that plastics used in computer PCI and PCIe slots, which are typically polycarbonate (PC) alloys, have a melting point in the range of 280°C to 320°C. So kapton tape it's probably overkill

Use 386: Remove the 486 CPU, set the CPU type jumper, set the FSB jumper to 66.
Use 486: Install 486CPU, set CPU type jumper, set FSB jumper to 33.

No BIOS setup is required
