Hello
With a single old MSDOS game using only a frontend like Utopia Box or DFend, so with BOTH I always get a Windows 11 crash with a Display "Out of Range" error message and it tells me I have to change the game to 1920x1080. Which is impossible.
It's Dosbox that forces the Windows screen to adapt to its 1985 display, not my display, which I have to modify to switch to 4 colors. My frontends work perfectly with all old DOS games EXCEPT CIV One.
CIV 1 with Dosbox is fine. Civ 1 with Utopia or DFend frontends and I get Out of Range immediately.
How can I fix this?
Thank you very much.

have you tried 1. DOS file managers, examples: x-tree gold,y tree... 2. Curious what type of display does this?

Dosbox lets you define the fullscreen resolution.

It does not have to be 'native'.

Re: Full screen configuration

Lists the directives you can use to control this.

You can force it to be anything.
