Hi, I once saw the source code for Mortal Kombat II, and it came with a loadram.exe in the SNDS folder, along with MKII's sound ROMs. The .SND files play at 31250 hz, like all DCS games, and actually have names and don't sound compressed.
So I'm hoping I can do the same thing to the Killer Instinct sound ROMs. I mean, there does exist DCSExplorer, but the output still sounds compressed and doesn't have actual names for the sounds. There's also a DeDCS I heard about a long time ago, but I could never find a download of it.
I tried playing with loadram.exe, and when I try to load the ROM, it says "ERROR bad reset value from DSP." So I have the feeling I might need an external device or something to decompress the Killer Instinct sound ROMs.
I know leaked source codes can be taken down, but as long as the loadram.exe program doesn't extract any game data other than the sounds, everything should be fine. So I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong when it comes to using loadram.exe. Thanks.
