hello,

i am new here. i am having trouble with Wayne's World the old PC game. I am using dosbox and D-Fend Reloaded frontend. whenever a sound vocal effect plays like in this case when Wayne says "Okay!" it freezes the game but i can still move the mouse cursor. But none of the buttons work other than that. I am at the beginning of the game and i pick up the laundry basket and wayne says "Okay!" and then i'm stuck. anyone know if it's a configuration issue? what do i put in the profile if it is? i'm not that knowledgble with DosBox yet so i downloaded a frontend. can someone please help?

thanks 😁

"Right settings" means that the settings in DFR matches that which you setup in the game.

DOSBox can (unfortunately?) emulate more than 1 type of sound card at the same time. SoundBlaster (several types), Gravis Ultrasound (GUS), Disney, AdLib, etc, etc.

My advice is to disable everything but SoundBlaster in DFR, enable and select SoundBlaster 16, and make of note of all the settings (IRQ, DMA, port, and anything else). Then make sure you use the exact same settings in the games sound configuration.
