I wondered if anybody had any views on the interference introduced by running with speakers on both sides of a CRT monitor? I'm sure I used to run the setup like this in the old days - CRT with stereo PC speakers on left and right side. Current setup I'm not getting any visual issues on the screen but you get a noticeable buzz from the CRT on the speakers whilst the CRT is powered on, not huge but noticable. Has it always been this way but I didn't used to notice it?

Generally not. However, especially cheap speakers from that era have lousy shielding so it's totally possible. We used them to alert us to incoming cell phone calls after all 😀

Often it is the audio input cable that is the worst offender. Usually these are hard wired on older speakers, but you can still try moving it around/away from wires going to the monitor and see if that helps

Thanks for the suggestion, not thought of that!
