I had one of those cards and later a Virge 325 back in the day. I do not recall anything like this. I mainly played DOS games syt the time, however.

No, never had that problem that I recall, though I'm not motivated enough to install the card to re-test.

Shouldn't the 2D core performance/functionality be identical to a S3 Virge? Do you have the same problem when switching to that? If it's only at higher resolutions - could it have something to do with the trio only having either 1 or 2mb of memeory opposed to the virges 2 or 4?

They are apparently not identical; doesn't happen with other cards. That is with the trio set to 4 MB. It's not high resolution only, as seen in the video. I noticed it doesn't seem to happen in all games. Would need testing with WinQuake.

Uu, never mind, it was just fixed with the latest code changes, but the problem was reported quite a while ago. 😂 I guess they were working on it and I didn't know, or a fix for something else fixed that too.
