Any idea which card can this be? It has Samsung mem. chips and it was made in 2002 that's all I can discern.

Both are GeForce4 MX 440's. It's a generic pcb design used by multiple companies.
Cool, I have another 440 mx but it looks very different, green pcb larger cooler but it doesn't have a fan.
You can always remove the cooler and see what's written on the chip. That'll be pretty conclusive...

I did unscrew the fan but it has the heatsink is secured with these annoying white plastic clips thingies that are impossible to remove without breaking them.
If you have a larger ballpoint pen you can unscrew the tip and use that to squeeze together the plastic pins. Also, gently warming up makes plastics a bit more flexible. I don't mean 100s of degrees, rather a bit with a hair dryer..
If you have this card in possesion why not install it in a system and see what the bios message shows.
