I'm talking about the original version, not the remake.
I have both the cd version and the steam version I prefer to use the latter one.

Obviously since the game is really old it doesn't work very well with the 16:9 aspect ratio.
In general I noticed the following issues:
Broken shadows, instead of them there are flickering terrain textures.
The audio volume is broken, despite moving the slides the voices are always very loud not only during the cutscenes, playing with EAX or software mixing doesn't solve the issue.
During the last reinstall I was able to solve the issue with the shadows but the game always crashed after some minutes if I used dgvooodoo2 with the error out of memory (video) even with 4gb of video memory.
