Hi there, I wanted to find out whether anyone else has had this issue. I am using an X-Fi Titanium PCIe card in my XP build. When I start a game or a benchmark, this high pitched buzzing sound starts coming through the speakers, which seems to go up and down depending on the frame rate and how much load the GPU is under. When using the onboard sound there is no noise at all.
I have 3 of these cards, including the Fatal1ty one with the EMI shield, and they all have the same issue. I have also tried with different GPUs and it makes no difference. Although moving the card into a different PCIe slot further away from the GPU does make a small difference, it's still noticeable especially when wearing headphones.
After doing some searching I found quite a few forum threads from back in the day with people experiencing the same thing. Does anyone else have this issue? If so, did you find a solution or did you just learn to live with it?
