Hi folks!
Just got myself a totally mint and I believe also unused Toshiba T4700TC which of course needs some new batteries.
The main battery is of course dead, will try to change the cells later this year, if I can understand how to open the casing without destroying anything.
There is a backup battery, which is a NiMH, rated at 1.2V and 1000mAh, size 14x50mm - no problems getting a new one.
There is also a CRT Lithium-Vanadium 2430 cell, rated at 50 mAh which fits into a compartment of the same exact size, no way putting something bigger inside.
For the life of me I can't find on the internet a reputable source of these cells... are they even being produced?
The main problem of course is the rechargeable feature. I found many non-rechargeable solutions, but since this is a very nice laptop, I don't want to risk it with those.
So the question is, do any of you know where to find a rechargeable 2430 lithium cell? Oh yes, from the EU region.
Thanks!
Martin
