First time using a Nvidia card in Windows XP, and have been having fun setting up SGSSAA on all my games. For the most part, I can find my games in the various Nvidia Profile Inspector AA Compatibility Bit lists. However, I have run into an issue with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08. There does not seem to be any recommended bits for this game. I have tried a dozen or so (including no bits), and 1 or 2 of them are close, but still imperfect. Either the golfer is jagged and the distant foliage is sharp, or the golfer is smooth and the distant foliage shimmers. Most bits have the second problem. I've tried reducing SGSSAA to 4x or 2x, tried SSAA instead, turning off Anisotropic Filtering, and playing with LOD Bias numbers. Nothing has seemed to help. The game itself does not appear to have any AA or AF settings in the options menu.

Is there a setting in Nvidia Profile Inspector that can help me with my issue with near and far textures? Does anyone have an AA Compatibility Bit for this game?

I ended up settling on 0x004412C1, which is described in a Reddit post as a good all-arounder for DX9 games. Does a really nice job smoothing out the jaggies up close, and the shimmering of tree leaves I was complaining about is actually just how the game handles movement and shadows.

I usually consult the PC Gaming Wiki AA flag list. Of course, not every game is on there, but it's good to know that some flags can be used across multiple DX9 titles.

It's too bad that SGSSAA isn't applicable to most DX10+ games, likely due to deferred rendering. On the plus side, you can get decent results with Nvidia's DLDSR and DLAA (where supported) but it's not quite the same. Still pretty good though, especially if you force DLSS4 to replace older versions via Nvidia Profile Inspector.
