I tried to make the Ram recognition of the RAM Card correctly and accidently destroyed the EISA config.
Now i need a tool to bring it back. The Compaq Setup Tool 5.08 wich i have cannot alter the EISA config. How can i do this?
Wher can i find the mystirous "Compaq EISA Configuration Utility (ECU)" for DeskPro 386/25m

my pulse is about 3000 atm...

I don't remember the softpaq number offhand, but the ECU for these machines is very obtainable. If all else fails I can send you an image of my disks. Calm yourself

Welcome to the club of Deskpro /M owners.
You may try to find the Smartstart 5.5 CD Image.
The EISA Setup should be contained as well as a setup disk generator.

Just a quick search later:
https://forum.vcfed.org/index.php?threads/ive … m-coming.61899/
Latest known System Configuration Utility Softpaq in English: http://108.59.254.117/~mR_Slug/pub/EISA/sources/COMPAQ/added to archive/sp19619.exe
other sources for the sp should be availiable.

Be careful if you want to extend the memory to the 64 MB max.
Configuration only worked with the HDD unplugged for me.

the Compaq (HP) site does not contain any ECU any longer (already checked that)
all other links contain only cfg files - not the utility to write
