Is the musician on the left in the band or is he covering the music? I'm assuming the footage on the right is live performance dubbed to a studio track?

Played one in the summer of 1988 at a friends who's dad had brought him one back from Japan, and I fell in love with it. He traveled there 4 times a year for his job at the time and brought back lots of cool toys, I was so jealous. 🤣
To this day it's the one real console I still wish I owned.

Maybe I'm fish 'n' chips deficient, but I can't remember most of what I read two months ago. 😅
Not my first rewatch since 2016, far from it. A few years ago I splurged & imported the 4K UK release. Let me tell you, between my usual munching of popcorn and snorts of laughter, I just sat there marveling at the sheer majesty of film grain left perfectly intact. It was damn near a religious experience.
