Can't run 16-bit Windows program with Holiday Island under Windows XP

I try to run this game but it gives me this error: "Cannot find file E:\Games\Holiday Island\HOLIDAY.EXE (or one of its components)
Check to ensure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available"

The game appears to be using a DOS UVBE driver, can that cause the problem? Can I run this game on this machine without installing VirtualBox (for installing Windows 95 under)?

Maybe try with short filenames.

Hmm, seems that that was the problem. Strange as I had it named with that exact name on my Windows 98 machine, and it worked there. I don`t use that machine to play this game as its monitor is quite blurry. Also I was thinking that it was something weird about the program, if I knew that the name of the directory should have been shortened, I wouldn`t ask here 😜
