Perhaps someone could do a similar advert, but for a sound card - based around the silly-sounding Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty 7.1 Champion Series? (Squeeze in the word Pro there too.)

It could feature an unnecessarily large number of speakers and cables (10.1 "4D" sound system?), a couple of breakout boxes, "4D" headphones, a couple of worthless remote control units, daughterboards piggy-backed on top of each other, not to mention extra RAM upgrades, and crippled driver packages, etc.

And everything overclocked, so that it breaks the sound barrier.

That's Maximum PC magazine. They were a funny bunch and a good read. Gone now.
