I got a copy of this game on GOG and decided to change the sound config from SB16 to Ultrasound (because why not, also the game uses some kind of tracker format for music, so there may be benefit in using). However, despite the Soundcard setup recognizing dosbox's settings (with ULTRASND in the correct mounted game path of course) and the digital voice test in the setup working correctly, the game itself runs oddly: music works, but the speech for the FMV cutscenes doesn't, also bizarrely enough, not having the speech play causes FMV's to play at 2x of their normal speed. Tinkering with Dosbox settings like cycles or the GUS IRQ and DMA doesn't help (game manual says that the highest DMA the game supports for GUS is 3, but the default dosbox settings should already take care of that anyway). I even tired different dosbox versions, but none of them helped either. Does someone know how to fix this, or is it just just the game having a broken implementation for GUS?

I'm not sure if this helps,
but I tried the normal CD version with 86box.
Everything works fine with sb16, but with gus the game crashes and shows only a black screen
as soon as the cutscenes would start.
(I tried various gus settings.)

The sound works in the setup and menu with gus.
And without sound card, the videos run too fast here too.
