It's taken from Add-on SDK based extension for Mozilla browsers from here.

The script that user script downloads and runs is a frontend providing classic interface to YouTube, supposed to be retro compatible unlike typical alternatives (if ECMAScript 2009 == retro) with good feature parity to stock YouTube, at least I read on another forum that account bound features work too, but I didn't verify all these aspects myself.

Though I miss Flash Player support, it would add a bit to authenticity.

Hi, it seems that websites are becoming plagued by cloudflare and similar human checks (to avoid excesive AI bots crawling that may cause DDoS) but this crap prevets browsing via older browsers. Recently I have found that e.g. theretroweb.com, that is very usefull for me and I visit it quite often, started using it too. Despite the "retro" in domain name I cannot longer browse it via retro Mozilla Seamonkey and even not via MyPal 68, only Chrome 360 and Supermium/Thorium works on WinXP. I didn't tried under DOS links/arachne yet but I doubt it would work. Could some web proxy work? Or what other solution do you use (don't need to write use linux or w11, I know)? What would be needed implemented as minimum in a dos browser to pass the check?

On one side I understand that web servers are forced to fight with excessive load caused by crawling bots on other side it means and endless figt between bots and protections againts tham that will require permanent browsers update. So any outdated system become useless quite soon :\

So maybe only possible some web proxy that will run on updated system and could forward web data to registered users only...

Any site putting up recrapchas or cloudfart walls gets a boycott from me. Web developers need to stop whining about all the problems that they themselves have created. "Bots are everywhere!" Cool story bro.

Well, on my main "for work" rig, Edge Canary does not let me pass these cloudflare checkboxes. At all, not even just on a single site. Of course i have vanilla Edge (and Chrome) so that passes it. But that means, cloudflare is lagging behind - as Edge Canary has somewhat newer code. Then, this is problematic for older browsers too - breaking usefullness of Win7 rigs (deliberately making them obsolete?)

Yeah I've noticed that cloudflare is a pest, not allowing older browsers to access the sites. I still use win7 for my main browsing, and the few sites with cloudflare that I visit are still working, although sometimes I need to click the "Are you human" box. But many older browsers just get stuck, not even showing a dialog.

The irony - a robot wanting to know if I'm human.
