Dear all,
forum member Douglar gave the hint about the jd-IDE card. An 8bit ISA IDE adapter with onboard memory and memory mapped I/O.
Great!
My question: is anyone aware of a similar card / project but for 16bit ISA slots?
Why:
- Higher I/O throuput compared to P I/O is to be expected
- The rumor is there that certain IDE Cache controller also do offer MMIO. But these are a) too expensive and b) or often not compatible with more enhanced features of an XT-IDE BIOS (to my experiences)
Thank you
