I been wanting to do a 790i ultra build for some time now. But I don't have the right case for it, the TJ07 would be perfect but finding one is easier said then done these days. The 800d is tempting too as are a lot of lian li cases.

So I thought I'd ask you all what you think would be a good period correct case to use would be?

Coolermaster ATCS 200 series, without a doubt.

I recommend skipping cases that are ill-suited for multiple 200+ watt cards stacked in a row. Go for Silverstone Fortress FT02 or Raven RV02. If it's not old enough, look for Cooler Master Stacker 830 (bonus points if you find can Nvidia edition) or maybe Antec 1200.

Love the FT02 and RV02. The cards won't bend like a wet noodle, It drives me nuts seeing cards sag at the ends.

the tj07 can more then handle that and is well know to work well with quad sli multi CPU systems too. I mean its not like it dose not have room for a 480mm and a 360mm rad.

Raven RV02

Please tell me where to get a Raven RV02, I have been looking for one for the past 7 years and havent seen a single one. =)

I remember back in the day I was deciding between a new RV02 and a new Corsair 600T at Frys, I got the 600T and now wish I had gone with the RV02 even though I still have my 600T and like it.

Water cooling is a different thing and yes, it does have a lot of room for radiators. But for air? Nope, it's not very good, not enough airflow in peripherals area, unless sufficiently modded. Come to think of it, even water requires sufficient modding.

FT02 is probably easier to find. Same internal design, just aluminum. Might want to skip window version though, as they weren't as common for FT02.

Where on ether are you getting that idea, it was well know for being a good case for hot high end systems back in the day even on air. out of the box it has 6 fans with the latter models having 7. Almost everyone that had one back in the day was running a sli air cooled system in it
