hi i wanna build xp machine , for early old games.

my question is wanna purchase x1650 pro agp card ( 512 mb ) , is this card good for xp machine?

wanna play games like mafia 1 ( city of lost heaven )

What CPU are you pairing it with?

The card is from 2006, Mafia 1 is 2002 so if this is your most demanding game your probably ok unless your trying to push some high resolution with all the driver enhancements turned on.

using pentium 4 2.80 ghz

It was a decent graphics card back then. Performed close to the high-end models from the previous generation while adding SM3.0 support.
The Pentium 4 is not an awful pairing, I'd go with an early Core2 or a Pentium Dual Core.
