Fullscreen problem

I'm having problems running DOSBox .72 in fullscreen mode.

When I try running DOSBox in fullscreen (my resolution is 1440x900, 60hz refresh), the program only takes up about half the screen (I'd say its around 640x480), surrounded by a large black border.

If I try fiddling with the resolution in the .conf file (or use catalyst control center's image scaling option), then I have the opposite problem: the program is too large for my screen, and part of the image is cut off. Moving my mouse around "scrolls" the screen, but that's hardly ideal.

My videocard is a Radeon x850 (latest Catalyst drivers), and my monitor a viewsonic vx1935wm. I'm running Windows XP Home (SP3) on a P4 2.8G with 1G RAM.

I've looked for the solution to my problem with no luck. Can anyone help me?

Try output=ddraw and fullresolution= the native resolution for your monitor (in my case, 1280x1024)
