Specifically, this one:

Just curious, really.

Most of them are seen as regular USB mouse.
Win98 doesn't know if the link from the usb part and the mouse is a cable or radio waves.
Same for keyboards, that's why you can enter the bios and navigate with a wireless keyboard without specific driver.
Not so sure for some like the Logitech I use with the "Logi" adapter dongle.

The vendor site says it works with Linux, Chrome OS and others. So it's probably a generic USB mouse.
https://perixx.com/products/perimice-621

But it's probably cheap 😀

I edited, take a look.
Most of cheap wireless mouses I've used are a pain. They work, but don't expect much.
I prefer a "correct" cable mouse than those sh....
Unless you pay the price.
I love my Logitech M590, but never tried it with Win98. It's just 40$ instead of 12.

I am pairing it with a Perixx Periboard 106M, as a 'matching set'.

This keyboard looks nice !
Perfect vintage look.
And not expensive.
Is it as deadly weapon as the original IBM ? 😀
For "vintage" mice, I love the old original Microsoft "laser".
I usually prefer Logitech, but this Microsoft was great. And came with a PS2/USB adaptor, so compatible with most of old PC.
I think I bought it for 500 francs in France in 1999, about 100$ today ...

I had an IntelliMouse Explorer (1999) in the early 2000s and it was lovely to use (from what I remember - I was only 15-16 years old).

I think it's quite the same.
I was surprised it was suddenly so easy to shoot the birds flying in Unreal 😀
I was about 30.
It's so old Internet was still black and white with a round display.
Color, sorry colour, (couleur for me) was invented later.
