I’m using a Windows 7 32-bit machine, and whenever I try to launch dgvoodoocpl, I receive an error stating that it doesn’t work with 32-bit operating systems.
I’ve been unable to locate an older version, and I’ve seen Dege’s post recommending that users stay on the latest release.

Am I doing something wrong, or is dgvoodoo simply no longer compatible with 32-bit Windows 7?

Next question: I’ve installed Counter-Strike 1.3 on a Windows 7 32-bit system. The computer is a Lenovo M900 with an Intel HD Graphics 530 GPU. I’ve tried many different fixes and even asked ChatGPT about it, but I still can’t solve the issue.
The problem is that when I launch the game, I get a black screen where only the mouse cursor is visible. How can I fix this?

If I remove the DDraw, d3dimm, and similar files, the game launches, but it does not run smoothly.

What does that mean? 😀

The old Half-Life engine employs complex things like multiple windows for different menus, difficult-to-scale animations, etc. Plus the main window, iirc, isn't DDraw accelerated.

Okay, but is there a guide I can follow to resolve the issue with the OpenGL? I’m playing CS 1.6 with 100fps and OpenGL troubles, so I know my graphic card can handle it. But CS 1.3 just give this OpenGL error. I have tried replacing the opengl32.dll file from Mesa, that didn’t help either.

For these type of problems, use the _dbg version of dgVoodoo and see the debug layer output if there are errors/warnings reported in the log (I never tested this game).
Also, you can check out other games with dgVoodoo to see if only this one is problematic or there is some system-wide problem with dgVoodoo.
