Asus P2B-S (1.0.4.) with HIP6004BCB

This must be rare? There is a catch though. It's a 1.0.4 with the extra dot at the end.

Could be fake. There are Xpand stickers on all the components in the case (including the case itself). Everyting is original 1999.
System runs great. All caps good.

What you all think? Should be able to run Coppermine on this?

Coppermine should (in theory) run on your setup. I have a revision 1.03 here that works without any problem.

Socket 370 so i’m guessing you are using this on a slotket? Maybe with voltage regulation on the slotket?

The voltage regulator on my P2B is interesting and should in theory support Slotted Coopermine (Can go to 1.3v) so i guess even Tulatin.

I was mostly wondering how rare this is.

The slotket is an Iwill from the Coppermine generation. The voltage request is done via jumpers on the slotket but this type of slotket does not have onboard voltage regulation. And yes, motherboards that support Coppermines can deliver voltages from 1.3v=>3.5v.
The Asus P2B-S does not seem particularly rare but they were twice as expensive as for example the P3B-F so I guess you will not see them as often.

Gotcha! That would imply that your motherboard has the voltage compability.

P2B-S isn’t a rare board but a V1.0.4. With 1.3V regulator must be because i struggle to find information these exists in the first place. I was very surprised when i found out i had the updated regulator on my board.
