I'm trying to bring back this ST6 back to life. When I push the power button, it has zero signs of life (post card does not power on) other than the motherboards little red LED turning on. The thermal cam can see some components warm up a bit (32c etc) but they all look normal. There are no shorts on 12v, 5v and 3v. I found some broken traces under the board which have now been fixed. The board was harvested for some resistors in the picture attached. I guess the previous owner assumed it was dead (probably because of the broken traces) and decided it to be a donor. If anyone is able to provide a high res image of this area of the board I would be very grateful.

Update: I shorted the PSON and GND pins on the ATX connector and the board powered on (still looks good under thermal cam). Post card says the motherboard is stuck in reset. Hopefully restoring the resistors will give an improvement. Going to reflash the BIOS in the mean time.

I had an odd issue last year with the reset pins on one of my boards being shorted and preventing the system from powering on. Simply pressing the reset button cleared this behavior and it has been fine ever since. It was really strange, and also kind of lame because I did a ton of troubleshooting prior to finding out I just had to short the reset pins or connect and push the reset button.

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

That’s strange. I’ll look into it.

Any chance I could get another picture of further up? I’ve marked the area. Found some more missing resistors.

Thanks for that.

I've now installed all the missing resistors. The BIOS had some different bits to the same version as the one on Retroweb, so I reflashed it. Unfortunately, the board still doesn't power on with the standard PW pins, I have to short the PSON and GND on the ATX connector. When it does power on, the board is stuck in reset 🙁 Also tried shorting the reset pins but no luck.

Hi, I saw that you tried to start, but it doesn't turn on, probably if the reset LED doesn't flash, and stays on it won't start.
Have you noticed if the LEDs of the keyboard ⌨️ flash, and if there is voltage on the mosfet of the VCORE.
