Hi guys, I have a weird problem with this motherboard. Replacing the CMOS battery does nothing, so I'm assuming there's a hardware issue in it somewhere.

Like I said, replacing the battery does nothing. I've tried re-seating the Jumpers (J5J1) and switch (SW1) but they're all set properly.
Floppy works, but the computer only seems to recognize its own original hard drive and NO other IDE device - no hard drives, no CD-ROM drives, no CF through an ide converter... I tried a Fujitsu that's the exact same size as the Conner (CFA-1275A) it originally came with 30+ years ago and it doesn't work, the ONLY IDE device that it recognizes is its original hard drive (which, thankfully, is still in great shape somehow).
A friend suggests that the CMOS silicone may be cooked, and the hard drive is maybe part of the CMOS defaults so that's why it only recognizes that. Any other ideas? I'd love to get this old girl up and running again but currently I can only use floppies on it.
