TRIED HARDWARE RECOVERY (official Intel method):
BH099.BIO (extracted from Intel-DZ77BH-55K-Iflash-BIOS-0099)
- Verbatim USB 2.0 (black rear port #2)
- FAT32 (full format, not quick)
- BIOS_CONFIG jumper **COMPLETELY REMOVED** (per Intel manual)
2. BH0100.BIO (same process, port #1)
**WHAT HAPPENED (both attempts):
1:24 AM β Power on β cycles OFF/ON β stays ON β
1:25 AM β POST 60 (USB init) β
1:25-1:42 β Rhythmic LED blinking + periodic HDD-like crackling
(crackling stopped ~1:36, then 2-3 final louder cracks at 1:42)
1:42 β Manual power off (18+ min total)
Jumper back to 1-2 β β BIOS still 0057
**BIOS Behavior After:**
- CPU 40Β°C β **Fans go 2000 RPM immediately** (Control Mode AUTO/MANUAL)
- GTX 560 works fine, PCIe alive
- Windows 10 loads normally
QUESTION:
1. **Why POST 60 + crackling 18min = NO BIOS update?**
2. **Correct .BIO filename?** (BH099.BIO vs BHZ7710H.86A.0099.BIO?)
3. **USB port issue?** Tried 2/3 black USB 2.0 ports
4. **Try iFlash DOS method?** (IFLASH.EXE + .BIO on FreeDOS USB)
5. **Arc B580 will work on BIOS 0057?** (PCIe 2.0 x16)
**Files used:**
- [BH099.BIO](link) ~8MB
- [BH0100.BIO](link) ~11MB
- Both from official Intel iflash packages
**NEXT STEPS?** DDU NVIDIA β Arc B580 test? Or one more BIOS attempt?
Thanks for any advice! 2+ hours of recovery attempts...
