Hello all. I'm using a Logitch Extreme 3D Pro joystick to play X-wing DOS in DOSBox. Everything is running perfectly (joystick and buttons all work properly), but the throttle on the joystick (I believe it's the fourth axis) does not work in the game.
I've tried everything I can think of in configuring DOSBox. Swap34 doesn't help and none of the various joystick options seem to affect anything.
I know that X-wing supports a throttle of some kind; it worked back in the day. But back then, the throttle was an entirely separate controller, not an axis built into my joystick. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with the problem...? Maybe if I could somehow make DOSBox read my one joystick as two separate controllers it would work?
I've also tried adjusting the Key Mapper options, but no matter what I map them to, axes 3 and 4 seem to have no effect in the game.
If anyone can shed any light on this for me, I'd really appreciate it. I've been working at this for a long time, and I really want to relive this classic the way it was meant to be played.
Thanks!
